In this role, you’ll lead, build, and grow teams of world-class engineers, taking responsibility for their technical execution and impact through ambiguity as we scale. You will report to a Senior Engineering Manager or Engineering Director, helping to shape the future of our three-sided marketplace.</p> <p>Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:</p> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary team</strong> of Backend, iOS, Android, and Web engineers, fostering a diverse and high-achieving environment.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Drive technical and product strategy</strong> by setting clear project goals, guiding implementation choices, and ensuring your team hits group-level metrics.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Champion a learning culture</strong> through active mentorship, helping engineers and emerging leaders accelerate their careers.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Scale our engineering practices</strong> by implementing processes and values that improve team efficiency and code quality.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Maintain technical engagement</strong> by contributing to code reviews and technical design, ensuring the health and observability of your team's systems.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>What You’ll Need to Thrive</h3> <p>Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:</p> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Significant experience in people management</strong>, with at least 2 years spent leading engineering teams through performance reviews and goal setting.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>A strong technical background</strong> as a Software Engineer, with a proven ability to build user-focused products at pace.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Demonstrated success in team building</strong>, including hiring, onboarding, and supporting the personal growth of colleagues.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Proven ability to lead through ambiguity</strong>, managing both local and remote engineers to deliver hi
