Our team of programming experts are always innovating to improve the tools and technology that empower content developers worldwide.</p> <h3><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h3> <p>Join Unreal Cloud Services, the team behind Lore (Epic's next-generation, open-source version control system built for the future of game development). You'll work at the boundary between editor and cloud, making distributed workflows, collaboration, and version control feel like a natural part of the creator experience. As Unreal evolves toward UE6, you'll help bring these capabilities together into a cohesive editor experience.</p> <h3><strong>In this role, you will</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Build Unreal Editor features that bring cloud-based collaboration into everyday creator workflows</li> <li>Implement responsive editor experiences that interact with asynchronous and distributed servi</li> <li>Work across editor, networking, storage, revision control, and UX systems to make cloud-backed workflows feel natural to Unreal Engi</li> <li>Partner with Product and UX teams to turn product ideas into clear, practical, and polished editor experiences</li> <li>Collaborate with backend and infrastructure programmers on features that span the editor and cloud services</li> <li>Use modern development practices, including AI-assisted programming, to improve implementation, debugging, and iteration</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What we're looking for</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Strong C++ skills and experience working in a large native codebase</li> <li>Experience building user-facing tools, editor features, and complex interactive workflows</li> <li>Experience building clients that interact with asynchronous or networked services</li> <li>Strong understanding of parallelism, networking, latency, and failure handling</li> <li>Strong eye for user experience and how technical behavior affects creator workflows</li> <li>Experience working closely with Product, UX, and programming teams to ship features</li> <li>Experience with Unreal Engine, another game engine, or comparable tools development</li> <li>Experience with Rust is a plus</li> </ul> <h2>EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFE</h2> <p>We pay 100% for benefits for both employees and dependents and offer coverage for supplemental medical, dental, vision, critical illness, telemedicine, Life and AD&D, long term disability insurance as well as weekly indemnity (short term disability) and a retirement savings plan with a competitive employer match.
