Thrive with us at ZoomInfo.</p> <p>ZoomInfo is looking for a technical and people-focused Engineering Manager to lead our Orchestration and Workflows team—the group responsible for building and managing our orchestration layer. This team will empower our customers to build workflows and orchestrate data from a simple webhook to complex rules based .</p> <p>In this role, you’ll lead a team of talented backend engineers to design, develop, and operate distributed systems that scale with billions of requests per day. You’ll balance execution with mentorship, strategy with empathy, and architecture with pragmatism. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in product, TPM, and other engineering teams to ship high-impact features while fostering a culture of technical excellence and shared ownership.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead, coach, and grow a team of front and backend engineers focused on delivering reliable, scalable systems for ZoomInfo's platform.</li> <li>Set technical direction and priorities for the Workflows group, helping your team make thoughtful architectural decisions using technologies like Java, TypeScript, NestJS, MongoDB, and Confluent Cloud.</li> <li>Drive execution of key projects, balancing roadmap delivery with engineering best practices, such as clean code, testing, observability, and CI/CD.</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, TPMs, and stakeholders to define goals, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment.</li> <li>Promote a healthy engineering culture, encouraging curiosity, ownership, innovation, and continuous learning across multiple sites.</li> <li>Recruit and onboard new talent, ensuring a smooth and inclusive team experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you will bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>4+ years of engineering management experience, including direct mentorship and performance management of engineers.</li> <li>Team Building & Ambiguity: Proven track record of scaling engineering teams from scratch—defining hiring roadmaps, establishing team culture and norms, onboarding engineers into newly formed groups, and driving execution in ambiguous, early-stage environments.</li> <li>Global Leadership: Experience leading distributed engineering teams across time zones, establishing clear communication rhythms, shared ownership models, and inclusive team practices that effectively bridge US and India-based engineers.</li> <li>6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, preferably with modern backend stacks such as TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS and Java.</li> <li>Fluency with workflow orchestration technologies (Google Cloud Workflows, Temporal, or equivalent)</li> <li>Solid grounding in event-driven architecture and streaming platforms (Kafka preferred)</li> <li>Experience with Java (Spring Boot) and/or Node.js (NestJS) at production scale</li> <li>Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts: state manageme
