<h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>The way people spend, save, and invest shapes their everyday lives. We’re looking for a Principal Product Designer to make those moments feel clear, useful, and distinctly Chime.</p> <p>You’ll shape some of the most important experiences in our mobile app, from how members manage money day to day to how they build toward longer-term goals. This role calls for a designer with exceptional visual craft who can turn complex financial decisions into experiences people understand and want to use. You’ll set a strong design direction, stay close to the details, and help raise the quality of the product around you.</p> <p>The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $222,000 and up to $290,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. </p> <h2><strong>In this role, you can expect to</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead design across spending, savings, and investing experiences, from early concepts through launch and iteration.</li> <li>Create polished mobile experiences with exceptional attention to typography, layout, interaction, motion, and the details that make a product feel intuitive.</li> <li>Translate complex financial concepts into clear experiences that help members make informed decisions.</li> <li>Explore ambitious ideas, build compelling prototypes, and use feedback to refine the strongest direction.</li> <li>Partner closely with product, engineering, research, and content design to understand member needs and deliver thoughtful solutions.</li> <li>Bring a cohesive point of view to experiences across the app while finding opportunities to raise the overall bar for design quality.</li> <li>Give constructive critique, mentor other designers, and help teams make strong design decisions.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>To thrive in this role, you have</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Deep experience designing consumer mobile products and a portfolio that demonstrates outstanding visual craft and shipped work.</li> <li>A track record of leading complex product design projects as a senior individual contributor.</li> <li>Strong interaction design skills and the ability to make sophisticated experiences feel simple and approachable.</li> <li>The range to define a vision, communicate it clearly, and work through the details required to bring it to life.</li> <li>Experience using research, customer feedback, and product data to inform and improve your designs.</li> <li>The ability to build trust across disciplines, navigate competing priorities, and move teams toward a shared direction.</li> <li>Experience in fintech or financial services is a plus, but is not required.</li> </ul> <p>#LI-TP1 #LI-Onsite</p><div class="content-conclusion"><h2><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>A little about us</strong></span></h2> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">At Chime, we believe that everyone can achieve financial progress.
