We are seeking a <strong>Linguistic Specialist, German</strong> to support the translation, editing, and validation of localized content in German, while gaining hands-on experience with localization tools, pipelines, and cross-functional collaboration.</p> <p>This is an <strong>entry-level, individual contributor role</strong> designed to support early-career linguists and translators looking to grow in the game localization industry. You’ll work under the guidance of senior language leads and localization producers to help ensure accurate and player-relevant content in a structured and supportive environment.</p> <p> </p> <h3><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Translate or edit in-game text, UI strings, and basic marketing content from English into <strong>natural, culturally appropriate German</strong><br> </li> <li>Follow established <strong>style guides, glossaries, and tone-of-voice documentation</strong> to maintain consistency<br> </li> <li>Collaborate with senior linguists and QA to review linguistic bugs, provide clarifications, and contribute to resolutions<br> </li> <li>Assist in terminology verification and contribute to updates of language resources under guidance<br> </li> <li>Participate in localization test passes for your language and help flag basic language or formatting issues<br> </li> <li>Review task briefs and submit questions or suggestions to more senior professionals for review<br> </li> <li>Track assigned tasks and update documentation in localization and project management tools (e.g., XLOC, Confluence, Jira)<br> </li> <li>Join team meetings or syncs as needed to stay informed on localization strategy and priorities for your language<br> </li> <li>Contribute to documentation improvements by flagging unclear instructions or suggesting basic refinements<br> </li> </ul> <h3><strong>What Will Make You A Great Fit</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Native-level fluency</strong> in German, with strong grammar and written fluency<br> </li> <li><strong>English fluency</strong> for reading, communication, and collaboration<br> </li> <li><strong>Experience</strong> in translation, linguistic QA, localization coursework, or related academic fields<br> </li> <li>Familiarity with localization workflows or content management tools is a plus<br> </li> <li>A strong interest in gaming
