This is primarily a remote role though there might be times when you would have to travel to a client locations in the DMV area. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for shifting manual testing efforts into efficient, scalable automated test suites built into our deployment pipeline. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA team members to ensure bugs are caught early and high-quality software is delivered seamlessly to our users. </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong> </p> <p>· <strong>Design and write maintainable automated test scripts</strong> for web applications and backend APIs. </p> <p>· <strong>Build and scale robust automation frameworks</strong> using tools like Playwright / Selenium / other to increase code coverage. </p> <p>· <strong>Analyze requirements and user stories</strong> to create detailed, structured end-to-end test plans. </p> <p>· <strong>Execute regression, functional, and smoke tests</strong> prior to major production releases. </p> <p>· <strong>Identify, log, and track software defects</strong> in issue tracking systems, detailing reproduction steps and severity. </p> <p>· <strong>Isolate and troubleshoot test failures</strong> to determine if issues stem from application bugs or test script instability. </p> <p>· <strong>Collaborate in Agile development ceremonies</strong>, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. </p> <p><strong>Technical Skills</strong> </p> <p>· <strong>Programming Proficiency</strong>: Strong coding skills in at least one major language (Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript), with ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools </p> <p>· <strong>Automation Tooling</strong>: Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Cucumber).
