This role leads cloud infrastructure design and delivery for mission workloads across multi-classification environments.</p> <p>As a senior individual contributor, you’ll set engineering direction for infrastructure-as-code, mentor mid-level and junior engineers, and own complex infrastructure challenges.</p> <p><em>Success in This Role Means:</em></p> <ul> <li>Delivering new infrastructure as reusable, version controlled Terraform or CloudFormation modules within 90 days</li> <li>Being the trusted technical authority for architecture and design questions</li> <li>Integrating STIG compliance and security hardening into deployment pipelines by default</li> <li>Driving root-cause investigation for Tier 3 incident response</li> <li>Ensuring cross-domain data flow and classification boundaries are correctly reflected in infrastructure design</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll do: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for mission-critical government workloads across IL2-IL6 environments</li> <li>Author and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) for consistent, auditable deployments</li> <li>Architect compute, storage, and networking solutions meeting mission performance and classification constraints</li> <li>Lead technical design from requirements gathering through implementation and handoff</li> <li>Implement and maintain security controls, STIG compliance, and vulnerability remediation</li> <li>Partner with Security Engineers and ISSOs on RMF documentation and ATO support</li> <li>Manage identity, access, networking, and security controls per least-privilege principles</li> <li>Mentor mid-level and junior engineers on design, troubleshooting, and secure practices</li> <li>Review infrastructure-as-code changes, provide technical feedback</li> <li>Drive resolution of complex Tier 3 incidents and document root-cause findings</li> <li>Operate within Agile frameworks (sprints, standups, retrospectives)</li> <li>Identify and resolve infrastructure gaps and automation opportunities proactively</li> <li>Document infrastructure decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll need: </strong></p> <ul> <li>5 years of cloud engineering/infrastructure experience</li> <li>2 years in classified or highly regulated government environments</li> <li>Cloud platform experience (e.g: AWS, Azure, or multi-cloud); AWS GovClou
