Recognized as a Glassdoor Top 100 Best Place to Work, we offer a collaborative and caring community where you feel like you belong and are empowered to grow, learn and thrive through hands-on experience, certifications, industry training and more. </div> <div> </div> <div>Join us to drive positive, lasting change that moves missions and the government forward!</div> <div> </div> </div></div><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p> <p>The Data Security Engineer will ensure the security and compliance of the platform and its associated data tools.</p> <p><strong>The work:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Implement data protection measures, manage user access and permissions for data tools, and ensure adherence to all applicable data security policies and regulations in collaboration with the data governance team.</li> <li>Design and implement data security controls and safeguards, conduct security risk assessments for data systems, and develop data classification and handling procedures.</li> <li>Configure and manage data access control systems, monitor for unauthorized data access attempts, and respond to data security incidents.</li> <li>Implement data encryption solutions for data at rest and in transit, collaborate with compliance teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met, and provide guidance on secure data handling practices.</li> <li>Perform security reviews of data integrations and sharing arrangements, maintain documentation of data security controls, and stay current with data security technologies and threats.</li> <li>Develop and deliver data security awareness training, participate in security audits and assessments, and implement data loss prevention strategies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Must have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Candidates must meet <strong>one</strong> of the following three areas:</li> <ol> <li><strong>Advanced Degree: </strong></li> <ul> <li>Master’s degree or Ph.D. in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Equivalent Training: <br></strong>Completion of one of the following accepted training programs: </li> <ul> <li>4C-FA26B</li> </ul> <li><strong>Professional Certification:<br></strong>Holding one of these certifications:</li> <ul> <li>CISSP-ISSEP</li> <li>FITSP-D</li> </ul> </ol> <li>8 years of experience implementing security controls for data platforms in large environments</li> <li>Must meet DoD 8140 requirements</li> </ul> <p><strong>Security Clearance:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position </li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p> </p> <p><span class="TextRun SCXW225111203 BCX8" lang
