Addepar supports clients worldwide with offices in New York City, Salt Lake City, São Paulo, London, Edinburgh, Geneva, Warsaw, Dubai, Pune and Singapore.</p></div><p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>We are currently seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer with a strong Java background to join our Letter of Authorisation (LOA) team!</p> <p>We’re building a system that can self-service onboarding of held-away accounts for enterprise clients. This new system will be built on our application framework with cloud-native architecture principles. </p> <p>We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Engineering Leader who will build an inclusive team culture, empower engineers to succeed and foster an environment that creates high quality engineering processes and product delivery. You are passionate about technology and can amplify your technical knowledge via your team. You’ll work closely with our product and design teams to deliver great products for our clients.</p> <p>Our engineering team primarily works in Java, Python and React, a strong Java experience with any of the additional skills would help succeed in the role. We use Agile methodologies to deliver impactful business outcomes.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions to solve complex problems; write well-designed, testable code.</li> <li>Lead individual project priorities, deadlines, and solutions.</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and partners on projects.</li> <li>Active support of business needs during US hours.Act as an engineering representative to the client and product support and steer communications from engineering standpoints.</li> <li>Communicate technical ideas and set direction on projects with a focus on solving business challenges.</li> <li>Mentor other engineers on the team.</li> <li>Participate in the design and development of a strategic product for Addepar.</li> <li>Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that's also scalable and extensible</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p> <ul> <li>B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study (or equivalent practical experience).</li> <li><strong>Minimum 9+ years of software engineering experience.</strong></li> <li><strong>Expert-level proficiency in backend development, with a focus on Java.</strong></li> <li><strong>Good experience on AWS or any other public cloud platform in building scalable architecture.</strong></li> <li><strong>Expert-level demonstrated proficiency in scalable microservice architecture design and development </strong></li> <li>Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures</li> <li>A strong ownership mentality and drive to solve the most important problems.&l
