Senior Data Engineer

In this role, you will own key parts of our data architecture, build reliable data pipelines, and partner closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to turn raw data into decision-driving insights. As we continue to grow, we’re investing in the next generation of our platform and are looking for experienced engineers who want to help shape its future.</strong></p> <p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead design discussions around data architecture, modeling strategy, and platform evolution</li> <li>Identify opportunities to simplify and scale the data platform</li> <li>Drive improvements to data reliability, observability, and data quality</li> <li>Establish and promote best practices for data modeling, testing, and code review</li> <li>Help the team prioritize work and balance speed with technical quality</li> <li>Develop and optimize ETL processes</li> <li>Integrate data sources across a broad product portfolio to provide stakeholders access to key information they need to excel at their job</li> <li>Mentor other data engineers</li> <li>Challenge how business use cases fit together and fit into our product</li> <li>Determine and proactively communicate future impacts of proposed or ongoing work</li> <li>Help the team mitigate any issues that arise in their product and its ecosystem</li> <li>Model data and metadata to support ad-hoc and pre-built reporting facilitating data access for our BI tools and analytical reporting</li> <li>Provide technical guidance to help Data Engineering evolve access to data platform</li> <li>Work with engineering to integrate tracking of new functionality into the data ecosystem</li> <li>Optimize the performance of business-critical queries</li> <li>Explain why the projects their team is working on have been prioritized over other projects</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>7+ years of data engineering experience </li> <li>Experience with data warehouses and large-scale analytics systems (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)</li> <li>Strong experience designing and building data pipelines and data platforms</li> <li>Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred)</li> <li>Experience building and maintaining relational as well as document, key-value, and other noSQL databases</li> <li>Advanced Python & SQL skills</li> <li>Experience workin
