This role is responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing network environments across classified and unclassified systems.</p> <p>The Network Engineer will support the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of network and cybersecurity technologies from vendors including Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, Versa Networks, and other integrated security platforms. The position requires collaboration with government personnel, cross-functional engineering teams, and cybersecurity staff to ensure network availability, compliance, and operational readiness.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analyze network performance and recommend adjustments to infrastructure capacity, scalability, and performance requirements.</li> <li>Support daily network operations including maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and lifecycle replacement activities.</li> <li>Assist with the design, implementation, and validation of network configuration prototypes including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and automation frameworks.</li> <li>Utilize automation and scripting tools such as Python and Ansible to streamline network administration and operational tasks.</li> <li>Monitor and maintain network availability, reliability, utilization, and overall system health.</li> <li>Review, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents, outages, and performance degradation issues.</li> <li>Participate in the development and review of conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures.</li> <li>Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures including firewall policies, network access controls, vulnerability remediation, and security auditing procedures.</li> <li>Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), network diagrams, and configuration baselines.</li> <li>Support compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF requirements, and Army network standards.</li> <li>Coordinate with government customers, vendors, and support teams to ensure mission continuity and successful execution of technical objectives.</li> <li>Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior personnel as required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills and Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical troubleshooting capabilities in enterprise network environments.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and manage time effectively in a mission-focused environment.</li> <li>Experience supporting enterprise routing, switching, and network security technologies.</li> <li>Knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching fundamentals.</li> <li>Experience with cybersecur
