Some examples include providing onboarding guidance to properly configure security systems, educating customers on how best to protect the things they love, and notifying customers of important activity on their systems. We’re seeking a <strong>Software Engineer II (Full-stack Web)</strong> who is eager to grow their skills in building reliable, scalable, and impactful customer-facing experiences. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to features used by millions of people, while learning from and collaborating with experienced engineers. </p> <p>Alarm.com values working together and collaborating in person.</p> <p> <strong>We are building a new team in Krakow.</strong><strong> </strong><strong>Our employees work fully from the office with the possibility to work remotely occasionally.</strong> </p> <p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Contribute and Deliver:</strong>Implement full-stack features (both frontend and backend services) under guidance from senior engineers. </li> <li><strong>Collaborate:</strong>Work closely with teammates, product managers, and designers to build user-facing features that scale globally. </li> <li><strong>Problem Solve:</strong>Develop efficient, maintainable code while learning to balance performance, security, and reliability. </li> <li><strong>Grow Across Layers:</strong>Build experience in both frontend (React, Ember, etc.) and backend services (C#, Web APIs, microservices, etc.) and latest evolving technologies. </li> <li><strong>Ensure Quality:</strong>Write unit tests, participate in QA cycles, and help monitor production performance. </li> <li><strong>Continuous Learning:</strong>Stay up to date with new tools and best practices while building your technical foundation. </li> <li><strong>Team Contribution:</strong>Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and documentation, learning from peers while sharing your own ideas. </li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of professional software development experience.</li> <li>A. or B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering program.</li> <li>English proficiency. Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Experience building <strong>Full-stack Web Applications</strong>(JavaScript, TypeScript, a library/framework like React, CSS, HTML).</li> <li>Exposure to <strong>backend, OOP development</strong>(e.g. C# or similar, Web API development).</li> <li>Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).</li> <li>Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.</li> <li>Experience with version control (Git).</li> <li>Strong interest in learning backend and
