This position will assist project managers with natural resource-based projects involving wetlands, threatened & endangered species, and water resource permitting issues.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to be highly organized, multi-task, and navigate various complex projects. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to taking initiative. Primary duties are located within an office or remote office environment with occasional fieldwork.</p> <h5>Location</h5> <p>The position will report out of our Omaha, NE, Lincoln, NE, Bellevue, NE, or Grand Island, NE office. </p> <h5>The Impact You Will Have</h5> <ul> <li>Conduct fieldwork tasks such as wetland delineations, natural resources inventories, and environmental surveys.</li> <li>Provide technical support for permit compliance and regulatory requirements. </li> <li>Be prepared for frequent travel, including overnight stays both within and outside the state.</li> <li>Assist project managers with various tasks to ensure project success.</li> <li>Manage project schedules and budgets to ensure timely completion of deliverables.</li> <li>Contribute to project proposals and collaborate with team members.</li> <li>Stay updated on federal and regional regulations.</li> <li>Build relationships with relevant agencies and represent Benesch as a subject matter expert.</li> <li>Promote a culture of safety awareness and professionalism in the workplace.</li> </ul> <h3>What We Are Looking For</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Environmental Sciences with 1-4 years of relevant work experience.</li> <li>Prior experience in wetland delineation, botanical surveys, and surveys related to threatened and endangered species.</li> <li>Familiarity with native vegetation identification and state and federal environmental permitting.</li> <li>Previous experience in renewable energy projects is a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge of state and federal permitting processes is desired.</li> <li>Proficiency in technical writing and experience in quality assurance/quality control of data and reporting are essential.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><hr> <h3 data-start="140" data-end="159">Why Benesch</h3> <p data-start="161" data-end="221">It’s simple.
