Whether you’re a recent graduate or have a couple of years of experience, you’ll have the opportunity to work on meaningful transportation projects across North Carolina while developing your technical skills alongside experienced engineers and project leaders.</p> <p>At Benesch, you’ll get the resources and opportunities of an established engineering firm while having the accessibility and connection of a mid-sized company. As our Raleigh team continues to grow, you’ll have the opportunity to grow with it and make an impact along the way.</p> <h5>Location</h5> <p>This position is based in our Raleigh, NC office.</p> <h3>The Impact You’ll Have</h3> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Perform structural analysis, load development, design calculations, and modeling for transportation projects</li> <li>Design and draft structural elements and details</li> <li>Prepare clear, organized, and reviewable structural calculations and project deliverables</li> <li>Support the development of plans, specifications, and complete design packages</li> <li>Coordinate with project teams and assist with drafting and design activities</li> <li>Complete assigned work within project schedules and budgets</li> <li>Work independently while receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced Project Managers and engineers</li> <li>Build your technical expertise through exposure to a variety of transportation structure projects</li> </ul> <h3>What We’re Looking For</h3> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline</li> <li>EI certification or ability to obtain</li> <li>0 to 2+ years of structural design experience</li> <li>Experience developing plans and specifications using MicroStation preferred</li> <li>Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to perform structural analysis and design</li> <li>Ability to develop complete and accurate design package
