Business Intelligence Analyst

<p>As our<strong> Business Intelligence Analyst,</strong> you will turn raw data into the decisions that move AWL forward – aggregating, analyzing, and translating information into insights leaders can act on. You will work across the full modern analyst's toolkit, from SQL, Excel, and QlikSense dashboards to emerging AI tools, always pairing that speed with the judgment to know when a result is right. Data sits at the core of every decision we make, and you will partner closely with executives, stakeholders, engineers, and fellow analysts to sharpen how the business runs. We work to foster a fast paced, fun, highly collaborative environment where results are both expected and rewarded.</p> <p><em>Fully remote opportunity in TX.</em></p> <p><strong>General Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Develop and utilize internal tools, SQL, Excel & QlikSense dashboards that will drive core business decisions.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Leverage AI-assisted analytics tools and natural language querying to accelerate data exploration and reporting.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Validate the correctness and accuracy of internal and external report data, including insights and queries generated by AI, before they reach stakeholders.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Provide situation-specific analyses to support business critical decisions.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Use AI to help build and maintain data ingestion pipelines, and continually optimize our internal data systems and analysis infrastructure.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering, finance, accounting, statistics, economics, math, or related field.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">3+ years' experience as a business intelligence analyst, software engineer, or database application developer.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Strong analytical skill set for translating business requirements into reports, grounded in a solid knowledge of economics and statistics.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Ability to think strategically and to relate data to strategic decisions.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">5+ years' experience with Microsoft Excel; expert-level formula and pivot table development.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Intermediate to Expert level SQL skills.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Comfort writing clear, structured prompts to extract and validate analysis from AI tools.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Intellectual curiosity and a drive to optimize – a genuine passion for using data and technology to explore and solve problems, and to understand what makes things tick.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Statistics background / Predictive analytics.</li> <li class="artifact-docx-preview_listparagraph artifact-docx-preview-num-1-0">Experience building or maintaining machine learning
