The ideal candidate will bridge mechanical design with electronic systems integration while driving project development from concept to completion. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology while developing innovative solutions in a dynamic R&D environment.<br> <br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br> • Take on mechanical design and development of component parts of robotic assemblies<br> • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software for manufacturing and assembly<br> • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and integration of mechanical systems<br> • Collaborate with electrical and software engineers on integrated solutions<br> • Develop solutions from initial conceptual direction with minimal guidance<br> • Support research staff by implementing hardware changes<br> <br><strong>Required Skills:</strong><br> • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field<br> • 5+ years' experience in mechanical design with focus on mechatronics<br> • Proficiency in 3D CAD software with SolidWorks<br> • Experience with actuators, sensors, and control systems<br> • Ability to work in a rapid R&D environment<br> • Ability to take abstract ideas and convert them into practical engineering solutions<br> • Able to work with high autonomy<br> <br><strong>Bonus Skills:</strong><br> • Experience with 3d printing prototyping<br> • Experience with Machine shop and safety practices<br> • Knowledge of industrial automation and robotics<br> • Familiarity with PLCs and microcontrollers<br> • Familiarity with GD&T<br> • Experience understanding and making electrical diagrams<br> • A understanding of some common coding languages like C++ and python<br> • Soldering skills<br> • Experience in wire / cable manufacturing.</p> <p><strong>Salary Range: </strong><br> • $110,000-$120,000<br> • The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employmen
