The Propulsion Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware for the Core Technologies Platform. This responsibility includes everything in the manufacturing value-chain, including, but not limited to, Design for Manufacturability work, tool design & selection, process creation & optimization, vendor sourcing & interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the hardware that the Manufacturing Engineer owns.<br>The right person for this role can demonstrate past holistic ownership on solving a technical challenge with a creative, physical, solution that they either personally manufacturing or oversaw manufacturing on, in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment. If you are someone who thrives in such an environment, then this role is for you.<br><br><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO </strong></p> <ul> <li>Own the disposition and rework of engines that fail internal acceptance test or are returned by customers, addressing both hardware failures and upgrades to the latest configuration for the entire program.</li> <li>Diagnose engine-level issues by analyzing test data, inspecting hardware, and driving each failure to its true root cause.</li> <li>Author clear, complete rework instructions and partner closely with production to communicate tasks, priorities, and expectations.</li> <li>Manage configuration across the EBOM and MBOM to keep every engine traceable to its correct build state.</li> <li>Lead teardown and inspection of returned engines, documenting findings and determining whether components are serviceable, repairable, or scrap.</li> <li>Define and manage upgrade paths that bring legacy-configuration engines to the current standard, including the required rework steps and parts.</li> <li>Feed failure findings back to design, quality, and reliability engineering so recurring issues are corrected at the source.</li> <li>Estimate rework scope, cost, and turnaround time, and coordinate with planning and supply cha
