We embrace the unique experiences, perspective, and cultural background, which only you can bring to the table.</p> <hr> <h2>About the role</h2> <p>We're hiring an <strong>Engineering Manager</strong> to lead the team building <strong>Luumen</strong> (<a href="https://luumen.ai/">luumen.ai</a>) — our agentic AI platform for enterprise IT automation.</p> <p>You'll own the team responsible for the <strong>SSH client</strong>, the <strong>web application</strong>, and the <strong>backend services</strong> behind them — a team of 6–8 engineers across those workstreams.</p> <p>This is a hands-on leadership role at a Series A startup. We expect you to spend the majority of your time on management, architecture, and unblocking the team — but we also expect you to stay close enough to the code to make credible technical calls, review designs with depth, and occasionally ship something yourself when it matters. Roughly <strong>~20% hands-on</strong> is a reasonable baseline; the exact mix will flex with what the team needs.</p> <p>You'll partner closely with our PM on roadmap, tech debt prioritization, and sequencing work across the team. You'll report to the VP of Product & Engineering.</p> <h2>What you'll do</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Lead a team of 6–8 engineers</strong> across the SSH client, web application, and backend services — running 1:1s, performance management, mentorship, career growth, and day-to-day delivery.</li> <li><strong>Own technical architecture</strong> across the stack you're responsible for — frontend systems, terminal/SSH client patterns, backend service design, API contracts, performance, and the long-term shape of the codebase.</l
