We are seeking students to join us for an eight week internship that will give a preview of the day to day responsibilities that come with being a full-time tax associate at Apercen Partners LLC.</p> </div> </div> </div> <h3 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Responsibilities</span></h3> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul> <li>Prepare & review individual, partnership, flow-through entity, fiduciary, gift, and other various tax returns for clients</li> <li>Prepare tax work papers, extensions, estimates, and tax advice for clients</li> <li>Research and analyze issues in connection with the preparation, review, and delivery of tax returns and written tax advice. Ability to interface with appropriate tax agencies</li> <li>Assist in developing solutions to complex tax consulting issues through research, use of advanced technology and deliberation with other team members</li> <li>Perform all aspects of engagement tasks assigned under oversight of senior staff</li> <li>Maintain firm privacy and confidentiality standards for all client matters</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <h3 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Qualifications</span></h3> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration/Economics with a concentration in Accounting, or a Master’s of Science in Accounting or Taxation</li> <li>Final graduation dates (w/150 semester/225 quarter units +required accounting and ethic units completed to become a licensed CPA) by December 2029</li> <li>Expecting to complete minimum education requirements to be eligible to become a CPA in your local state before commencing full-time employment</li> <li>History of academic and extracurricular success</li> <li>Self- motivated, strong attention to detail, with excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Ability to prioritize responsibilities, multitask in fast-paced environments, and work successfully in independent and team settings</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><em>Apercen is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role for those assigned and/or hired to work in for New York City Metro Area, Colorado, Washington State, and California. The pay range for all localities is $36 - $38/hour. Individual pay rates within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, certifications, skills and geography.
