We welcome candidates from the Milwaukee metro and beyond to apply. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, validation, and implementation of advanced electrical power distribution and conversion systems. This position owns major electrical subsystems, drives design documentation and reviews, supports cross-functional collaboration, mentors early‑career engineers, and ensures solutions meet safety, manufacturability, compliance, and performance expectations across the full product lifecycle. This role requires travel to southern Minnesota as needed, but less than 20% travel is expected. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Lead electrical design and validation for major subsystems and product areas</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Translate system requirements into practical, robust electrical designs</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Own schematics, drawings, calculations, specifications, and bills of material</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Drive design reviews, trade studies, prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with mechanical, systems, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and project teams</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Mentor early‑career engineers and reinforce electrical design standards</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Support project planning, effort estimation, and execution</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Stay current with advancements in power systems, microgrids, renewable energy, and power conversion technologies</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Contribute to projects that impact communities in the greater Milwaukee metro</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation</span></li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;">QUALIFICATIONS</span></h1> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering required</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">5–8 years of industrial experience in electrical design or electromechanical systems</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong knowledge of power distribution, conversion, monitoring, controls, and system integration</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience de
