Working directly alongside industry experts at our vibrant McLean headquarters, you will gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, automated governance, and enterprise threat analysis, setting a solid foundation for a high-impact cybersecurity career.</p> <p><em>This internship is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia. Being in the office provides more opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate with the exceptional people across Appian.</em></p> <h4><strong><strong>Applicants considered for Summer 2027 - Students Only </strong></strong></h4> <h4><strong><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></strong></h4> <ul> <li> <p>Execute continuous monitoring activities to ensure continuous alignment with internal security controls, industry regulations, and cyber compliance standards.</p> </li> <li> <p>Help identify, design, and implement automated processes for conducting internal and external security reviews and control evaluations.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assess current security risks, emerging vulnerability trends, and technical requirements across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Partner with cross-functional technical teams to translate complex security concepts into actionable strategies for diverse audiences.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assist in evaluating risk profiles and driving Appian’s global information security program forward.</p> </li> </ul> <h4><strong><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></strong></h4> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Education:</strong> Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related STEM field with a strong academic record.
