You will join a team dedicated to bringing Apollo to market at scale, tackling the complex challenges like safety, commercialization, and mass production to change the world for the better.</p></div><p> </p> <p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a <strong>Senior Mechanical Engineer</strong> to design and develop our Apollo humanoid robots across the full product lifecycle—from concept through production and sustaining.</p> <p>In this role, you will apply strong engineering fundamentals and practical experience to solve well-defined and moderately ambiguous technical problems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, and operations to deliver designs that meet performance, reliability, cost, safety, and manufacturability requirements.</p> <p>Senior engineers are expected to own significant subsystems or features, execute with minimal supervision, and contribute meaningfully to technical discussions and design reviews. This role includes informal mentorship of junior engineers and participation in team technical standards, but does not require org-wide technical leadership.</p> <h2> </h2> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and develop mechanical components, subsystems, and assemblies</li> <li>Own designs from concept development and prototyping through production release and sustaining</li> <li>Perform design trade studies and support technical risk reduction</li> <li>Apply DFMA principles and support manufacturing readiness and production ramp</li> <li>Plan and execute verification and validation testing for assigned designs</li> <li>Perform or support mechanical analysis, including static, thermal, and fatigue analysis</li> <li>Investigate test, manufacturing, and field issues; support root-cause analysis and corrective actions</li> <li>Create clear and complete design documentation, drawings, and specifications</li> <li>Participate in technical design reviews and cross-functional discussions</li> <li>Collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal manufacturing teams</li> <li>Support engineering change management (ECO/ECN) and design traceability</li> <li>Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior engineers<br><br></li> </ul> <h2><strong>SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:<br></strong></h2> <ul> <li>Proven ability to independently own and deliver mechanical subsystems or features</li> <li>Strong experience with DFMA, manufacturing processes, and production support</li> <li>Proficiency in mechanical analysis methods, including FEA and analytical calculations</li> <li>Hands-on experience with prototyping, verification, and validation testing</li> <li>Solid understanding of materials selection, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis</li> <li>Experience integrating mechanical designs with electronics, software, and motion systems</li> <li>Familiarity with tooling, fixtures, automation, or test equipment de
