The marine industry is going electric and Arc is building the platform that powers it</p> <h2>Who we’re looking for</h2> <p>We’re looking for someone who is a self-motivated builder with the ability to create safety systems, who can adapt quickly in a dynamic environment, and effectively balances regulatory compliance with practical solutions to support our growth. We pride ourselves on transparency and operate in a lean, high-trust environment that encourages everyone to take ownership over their domain.</p> <p>You will work from our manufacturing facility in Los Angeles. Given that we’re a startup, you will be working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment that requires adaptability. Still, there are some responsibilities and qualifications we expect to stay relatively constant in this role.</p> <h2>What You'll Do</h2> <ul> <li>Leading and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across the organization, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility</li> <li>Working closely with operations leadership, engineers, and employees at all levels to implement best-in-class safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement</li> <li>Maintaining and improving occupational safety programs such as high-voltage, crane safety, chemical management, incident management, industrial ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and air quality.</li> <li>Managing safety ticketing system and associated metrics </li> <li>Leading accident/incidents investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventative actions; Managing occupational and/or workers compensation injuries</li> <li>Identifying proactive workplace safety opportunities in a manufacturing environment and documenting safety inspections </li> <li>Owning all hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including proper handling, labeling, and storage</li> <li>Recognizing requirements and ensuring compliance to safety programs and standards including: hazard communication, fall protection, respiratory protection, lockout/tag-out (LOTO), machine guarding, power & hand-held tools, electrical, emergency response, and chemical management</li> </ul> <h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety Management, Occupational Safety or a related field; or equivalent work experience</li> <li>3+ years of managing and implementing Environmental, Health, and Safety programs in an engineering or manufacturing environment. </li> <li>Strong working knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA, CalOSHA, EPA, CUPA, SCAQMD, NIOSH)</li> <li>Working knowledge of ANSI standards</li> </ul> <h2>Bonus Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Startup or high-growth company experience</li> <li>Experience establishing safety culture in young organizations</li> <
