Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.</p></div><p>This position is based in our satellite production facility in <strong>Midland, TX</strong>, with full relocation provided (details below).</p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>AST SpaceMobile is seeking an <strong>Environmental Test Technician III</strong> to support environmental qualification, acceptance testing, and development testing of satellites, solar arrays, and aerospace hardware.</p> <p>This senior-level technician role performs complex environmental testing activities including thermal vacuum (TVAC), vibration, shock, acoustic, thermal cycling, and related qualification testing. The Technician III serves as a technical lead for test execution, mentors junior technicians, supports root cause investigations, develops test configurations, and ensures testing is performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with aerospace standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental testing, aerospace manufacturing, automotive testing, industrial testing, or related technical environments.</p> <p><strong>Compensation & Schedule</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Pay:</strong> based on experience, with overtime opportunities. </li> <li><strong>Schedule:</strong> <strong>1st Shift – Days: </strong>Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (4x10 schedule) with paid lunch and breaks (need one candidate)</li> <li><strong></strong><strong>Schedule: 2nd Shift – Nights: </strong>Monday–Thursday, 6:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m. (4x10 schedule) with a 10% shift differential and paid lunch and breaks (need one candidate) </li> <li><strong>Flexibility:</strong> <strong>Weekday and weekday shifts </strong>are also available depending on experience and team needs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <p>Lead environmental qualification and acceptance testing activities including:</p> <ul> <li>Thermal Vacuum (TVAC)</li> <li>Vibration Testing</li> <li>Shock Testing</li> <li>Acoustic Testing</li> <li>Thermal Cycling</li> <li>Deployment and Functional Testing</li> <li>Independently set up, configure, instrument, and operate environmental test systems.</li> <li>Develop test setups, fixturing, instrumentation plans, and test configurations for complex hardware.</li> </ul> <p>Install, verify, troubleshoot, and calibrate instrumentation including:</p> <ul> <li>Accelerometers</li> <li>Thermistors</li> <li>Thermocouples</li> <li>Strain Gauges</li> <li>Load Cells</li> <li>Other environmental test sensors</li> </ul> <p>Configure and operate:</p> <ul> <li>Data Acquisition Systems (DAQs)</li> <li>Multimeters</li> <li>Oscilloscopes</li> <li>Thermal Chambers</li> <li>Thermal Vacuum Systems</li> <li>Vibration Shakers</li> <li>Acoustic Test Equipment</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Perform wiring, harnessing, cable fabrication, connector assembly, and soldering activities to support test oper
