Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.</p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong><br>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced <strong>Structural Mechanic</strong> to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural repair and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality.</p> <p><strong>Pay:</strong> <strong>$36-$42</strong> hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform structural assembly, repair and modifications of Telecommunication Satellites, structures or other structures as required to drawing specifications.</li> <li>Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals to determine repair and modification requirements.</li> <li>Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks accurately.</li> <li>Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve processes.</li> <li>Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.</li> <li>Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience as a structural mechanic in aerospace.</li> <li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques used in structural repair and maintenance.</li> <li>Specific skills in riveting, drilling, and fastener installation <ul> <li>Surface Prep for Bonding</li> <li>Incremental drilling for hold size for</li> <li>Mechanical Assembly and Torque Specifications</li> </ul> </li> <ul> <li>Clear understanding and demonstration of: <ul> <li>Screws</li> <li>Rivets</li> <li>Wet Bonding</li> </ul> </li> <li>Laser tracking and Metrology a plus</li> </ul> <li>Knowledge of different types of rivets, including solid rivets, blind rivets, Hi-Lock and Hi-Lite, cherry max rivets, and their installation requirements.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li> </u
