Your work will directly support robotics,<br>gas delivery systems, temperature control hardware, and factory automation, delivering real-time solutions that drive chip production. Based in Singapore, you'll collaborate with global engineering teams and play a key<br>role in shaping the future of semiconductor automation and equipment connectivity. You will play a key role in advancing ASM's software engineering capabilities through the responsible adoption of AI-enabled development, helping teams accelerate problem resolution, improve software quality, and scale engineering excellence across global product platforms.</p> <p><strong>What you will be working on</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.</li> <li>Develop applications for Windows and real-time operating systems.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues within real-time control systems.</li> <li>Diagnose and resolve software, electrical, and mechanical system issues.</li> <li>Lead technical escalation e􀆯orts with field engineers and global customers.</li> <li>Partner with Quality Assurance and Support teams to investigate issues and improve regression test<br>coverage.</li> <li>Author and review software requirements, system specifications, design documents, and test plans.</li> <li>Investigate internal and customer-reported issues and develop e􀆯ective solutions.</li> <li>Evaluate and recommend software engineering tools, processes, and best practices.</li> <li>Participate in system architecture, design, and scheduling initiatives.</li> <li>Integrate and support factory automation interfaces, including SECS/GEM and related industry<br>protocols.</li> <li>Collaborate with automation teams to ensure reliable communication between manufacturing<br>equipment and factory systems.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we are looking for</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum a Bachelor's degree or Master'sdegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field</li> <li>Strong software development experience using C#.</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, either in a full-stack or systems-focused environment.</li> <li>Minimum 10 years of software development experience, including software architecture and system design.</li> <li>Experience developing machine control software, preferably for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with factory automation systems.</li> <li>Familiarity with SECS/GEM, GEM300, and
