We are a U.S.-based autonomous vehicle startup headquartered in Austin, Texas with additional R&D hubs around the world. Our company develops and operates both autonomous cars and delivery robots that share technologies and mutually benefit from each other’s advancements — a unique approach in the industry. </p> <h1><strong>About the Role</strong></h1> <p>Avride is preparing to launch a fleet of autonomous delivery robots at multiple campuses across the U.S. and we are hiring a motivated, entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support this exciting deployment. In this role, you will support the daily operations, maintenance, and preparations of our delivery robots. This part-time and weekend-based role is the perfect starting point for individuals looking to build a career in robotics and electro-mechanical assembly. You will ensure our fleet is ready for deployment while learning foundational skills needed to advance in our rapidly growing industry.</p> <p>This position is employed through our staffing partner and offers weekly pay.</p> <h1><strong>Schedule: </strong></h1> <p>Shifts will cover the weekend days (Saturday and Sunday.) Most campuses offer approximately 16 hours per weekend, split across Saturday and Sunday. Shifts are generally around 8 hours per day, with both a morning/afternoon shift and an afternoon/late-evening shift available. Exact hours vary by campus. </p> <h1><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h1> <ul> <li><strong>Prepare robots for the shift:</strong> Ensure all hardware and software are ready for daily deployment.</li> <li><strong>Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: </strong>Manage power cycles to ensure maximum fleet readiness.</li> <li><strong>Clean robots: </strong>Maintain physical appearance and protect sensitive external hardware.</li> <li><strong>Perform mechanical repairs:</strong> Assist with and execute basic repairs on the robot fleet.</li> <li><strong>Perform service campaigns:</strong> Help implement widespread hardware or software updates across the fleet.</li> <li><strong>Assist remote support coordinators:</strong> Act as the hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team.</li> <li><strong>Perform calibrations and wheel alignment:</strong> Ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation.</li> <li><strong>Keep workshop clean and tidy:</strong> Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace for the entire technical team.</li> </ul> <h1><strong>What You’ll Need</strong></h1> <ul> <li>Comfortable working in varied field environments.</li> <li>Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds safely.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.</li> <li>Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.</li> </ul> <h1><strong>Nice to Have</strong></h1> <ul> <li>General computer literacy.</li> <li>Introductory background or interest in electric vehicle (EV) service, automotive repair, or electronics.</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em class="italic-text">Candidates are required to be authorized to work in the U.S. The employer is not offering relocation, sponsorship, and remote work options are not available.
