<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>Welding Engineer Intern</em></strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>- Open Position -</em></strong></p> <p>Axis Automation leverages the teamwork of our leading engineers and machine builders to conceptualize, design, integrate, deploy and service factory automation systems for forward-thinking manufacturing customers. Our team has decades of automation experience, spanning hundreds of projects and thousands of automation configurations. </p> <p><strong>Position Description: </strong>The Welding Engineer Intern will be deeply involved in the design, specification, and implementation of custom automated welding machinery. Throughout their time, an intern can expect to produce pre-process and post-process weld documentation, participate in internal destructive testing and evaluation, and aid in solutions-oriented troubleshooting and process improvements.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and document welding and joining systems for various types of welding automated equipment. </li> <li>Creation and revision of customer required welding documents including WPS, PQR, weld Maps, and destructive Testing.</li> <li>Creation and revision of internal and external welding specifications for a variety of processes.</li> <li>Inspection on all automated welding completed in house. </li> <li>Generate conceptual solutions for problems with no previous or standard solution. </li> <li>Analyze the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.</li> <li>Must be a team player with the ability to work well in a team environment</li> <li>Ability to communicate with peers, customers, and vendors.</li> <li>Troubleshoot weld, joining, wiring, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits issues.</li> <li>Learn and perform basic programming skills.</li> </ul> <p>Note: This list of responsibilities is by no means inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.</p> <p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from a university program in Welding Engineering or related engineering field.</li> <li>Willing to travel an average of 10% domestically</li> <li>Experience with Welding Processes, Robots, Reviewing Specifications, WPS/PQRs. </li> </ul>
