This is an existing vacancy. </p> <p> </p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h3> <ul> <li class="ewa-rteLine">Working with and advising corporate clients directly regarding commercial real estate matters, including purchase and sale of commercial property, acquisitions of business with a real estate component, development, and regulatory compliance.</li> <li class="ewa-rteLine">Drafting and negotiating leases, amendments, assignments and renewals</li> <li class="ewa-rteLine">Assisting with portfolio management and due diligence review, including environmental assessments</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h3><strong>Qualifications:</strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></h3> <ul> <li>Based in Ontario with active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Ontario real estate laws</li> <li>8+ years of experience with the purchase, sale, financing, development and operation of commercial leasing while representing major developers, retailers, financial institutions, lenders or pension funds </li> <li>Prior experience advising on funding of real estate ventures</li> <li>Experience working independently and cross-functionally and taking on complex projects</li> <li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively advise clients and collaborate with project stakeholders</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h3><strong>Compensation:</strong></h3> <p>The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year.<strong> </strong>Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
