Beam is a values-driven organization committed to its people, cutting-edge science, and a vision of providing life-long cures to patients suffering from serious diseases.</p> <p></p></div><p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Position Overview:</span></strong></p> <p>Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, <span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="Body Text">Clinical, will be a key member of the FP&A team reporting to the VP of FP&A. </span></span>The focus of this position will be managing the planning processes and serving as the business partner to the Clinical and Medical Affairs organizations and assisting the VP of FP&A on overall planning process strategy and management. This position will also interact closely with the accounting team on the month end closing process.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>FP&A business partner to the Clinical and Medical Affairs organizations, and BEAM-302 and BEAM-301 programs.</li> <li>Oversee planning cycle activities and review and ensure accuracy of plan data for all partner functions and programs.</li> <li>Conduct monthly budget vs. actual analysis for partner functions and programs, and finance/management results.</li> <li>Track risks and opportunities to the annual budget and enter material changes into rolling forecast.</li> <li>Assist in the overall budget, LRP, and forecast processes outside of partnership duties.</li> <li>Partner with Sourcing on contract and change order reviews for significant Clinical Trial Agreements to ensure competitive costing and budget compliance.</li> <li>Attend monthly Clinical accrual meetings to ensure accuracy of expense and SOX compliance.</li> <li>Attend quarterly milestone meetings to ensure accuracy of expense and future projections in forecast.</li> <li>Special projects as required.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>8+ years of FP&A experience; biotech industry experience strongly preferred.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent.</li> <li>Financial statement knowledge and understanding of US GAAP.</li> <li>Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution oriented.</li> <li>Ability to work within and meet all deadlines while executing on multiple deliverables.</li> <li>Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.</li> <li>Comfort utilizing and incorporating available AI tools into work processes.</li> <li>Advanced understanding of Excel, Adaptive Insights, and ERP systems (preferably NetSuite or SAP).</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>The salary range below reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to p
