BI Data Analyst

<p><strong>Place of work:</strong> Grösslingová, Bratislava, Slovakia (Job with occasional home office)</p> <p><strong>Contract type:</strong> full-time</p> <p><strong>Start date:</strong> Upon Agreement</p> <h2>What will you be in charge of?</h2> <p>As a BI Data Analyst, you'd be part of the team building out reporting for a fast-moving e-commerce business operating across 21 European markets – working with our data warehouse to turn business questions into reports people actually rely on, with a strong focus on the financial side of the business.</p> <ul> <li>You'd design and build Power BI reports – from data model to DAX logic to the final visual – working closely with our database and BI specialists along the way.</li> <li>You'd work directly with Finance and other business stakeholders, helping them shape a rough idea into a report that actually answers their question – margins, costs and P&L included.</li> <li>You'd get comfortable spotting trends, inconsistencies and manual work worth automating, and suggest where reporting could do more.</li> <li>You'd take care of data quality and validation on the reports you build, so people can trust the numbers without double-checking them.</li> <li>You'd help present findings in business reviews, explaining what the data shows – and what it means financially – in a way that lands with people who don't work with Power BI day to day.</li> <li>You'd grow into a go-to person for Power BI, DAX and Power Query on the team, with support from more senior colleagues along the way.</li> </ul> <h3> </h3> <h2><span data-contrast="none">What we are looking for: </span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":true,"134233118":true,"201341983":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></h2> <ul> <li>Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including confident use of DAX, data modelling and Power Query</li> <li>Good SQL skills and the confidence to analyse large datasets, plus solid working knowledge of Excel</li> <li>A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset</li> <li>Experience working directly with business stakeholders</li> <li>Ability to translate business questions into reporting solutions</li> <li>High attention to data quality and validation</li> <li>Ability to explain analytical findings clearly to non-technical audiences</li> <li>A finance background, with an understanding of P&L, margins and cost structures</li> <li>Fluent English and Slovak, since you'll be working closely with both local and international colleagues</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Nice-to-have</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Experience with Microsoft Fabric</li> <li>Experience working in e-commerce</li> <li>Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) to improve productivity</li> <li>Basic Python skills</li> </ul> <h4>Personality prerequisites and skills</h4> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>Ownership and follow-through, without needing constant check-ins</li> <li>Ability to manage several stakeholders and priorities at once</li> <li>Clear communicator, both in writing and in person</li> <li>Curious mindset, quick to spot what could be improved</li> <li>Open to learning from more senior colleagues</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h2>What we offer: </h2> <ul> <li>Teambuildings – Meet your colleagues in informal setting like Family day and let yourself loose during our Christmas and Summer parties.
