This position requires a candidate that is strong in root cause analysis, application support and repair of equipment commonly used in the Next Generation Sequencing workflow. The role requires a detail-oriented candidate with experience in a regulated environment, exceptional documentation (GDP) abilities and strong written and verbal communication skills. This is an onsite position in our facility in Menlo Park, CA.</p> <p><strong>Shift Schedule:</strong> Monday - Friday, or Tuesday - Saturday PM shift</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide service, support, and troubleshooting for automated processes and instrumentation.</li> <li>Perform and coordinate maintenance work on laboratory equipment.</li> <li>Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis, and problem solving on lab instruments.</li> <li>Carry out Installation, Operational, and Process Qualifications on new equipment as necessary.</li> <li>Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Effectively coordinate with vendors as required for equipment issues.</li> <li>Maintain equipment parts inventory and well-organized equipment records.</li> <li>Prepare documentation as needed for equipment operation and maintenance.</li> <li>Propose and design plans for process improvements.</li> <li>Represent the equipment and automation teams in cross-functional meetings.</li> <li>Undertake special projects as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS degree in a scientific discipline.</li> <li>3+ years of experience in operating and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, preferably high-throughput molecular biology equipment, especially liquid handlers</li> <li>Strong customer focused service experience.</li> <li>Ability to engage in constructive dialogue, challenge concerns and maintain transparency.</li> <li>Proficiency in problem-solving with limited direction and making confident decisions.</li> <li>Attention to detail and accuracy.</li> <li>Solid understanding of statistical analyses relevant to automated lab processes.</li> <li>Strong multi-tasking ability with a focus on prioritization.</li> <li>Experience in tr
