If you’re passionate about helping children and families while growing your career, Blackbird is the place to make an impact.</p> <p>Join us and help change mental health care for children for the better!</p></div><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p data-path-to-node="3,1">As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Contract Evaluator at Blackbird Health, you will deliver evidence-based diagnostic assessments that build a clear, comprehensive picture of a child's developmental and communication needs. Operating in a <strong data-path-to-node="5,0" data-index-in-node="258">hybrid model (2 days on-site per week for our Philadelphia Metro locations, with remote telehealth flexibility)</strong>, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of specialty providers to shape individualized care plans for the children and families we serve.</p> <p data-path-to-node="3,2"><em data-path-to-node="3,2" data-index-in-node="0">Please note: This is a diagnostic evaluation-only role and does not involve providing ongoing therapy or treatment sessions.</em></p> <p><strong>What makes you, you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.</li> <li>Proficient in navigating electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technology.</li> <li>Commitment to evidence-based practice and continued professional development.</li> <li>Ability to maintain strict confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.</li> <li>Flexibility and initiative to adapt in a dynamic, innovative startup work environment.</li> <li>Receptive to clinical feedback and committed to professional growth.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>How you’ll make an impact:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Complete a minimum of 6 comprehensive speech and language evaluations per week (90-minute direct clinical service sessions).</li> <li>Complete all necessary clinical documentation (30 minute documentation time per evaluation), evaluation reports, and care recommendations accurately and in a timely manner. All documentation time is considered clinical time and is fully compensated at the standard hourly rate.</li> <li>Focus exclusively on high-quality diagnostic testing; make appropriate recommendations and referrals for therapy goals and services based on evaluation results (no ongoing treatment/tx caseload management required).</li> <li>Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health clinicians and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners (CRNPs) to provide comprehensive, whole-child care.</li> <li>Participate in weekly team meetings (approximately 60 minutes per week) to provide input on clinical and administrative insights.</li> <li>Maintain a clinical schedule focused on weekday evaluations after 3:00 PM EST and/or weekend evaluations.</li> </ul> &
