Deburring Technician

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Shift: Monday - Thursday 5AM- 2:30PM, Friday 5AM - 12 PM </strong></span></p> <p><strong>Position Overview:</strong><br>A Deburring Technician is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections from metal components to ensure a smooth and finished surface. This role is crucial in quality control, ensuring that manufactured parts meet precise specifications and are safe for use.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Deburring and Finishing:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Use tools such as dremels, files, grinders, sandpaper, deburring knives, or pneumatic tools to remove excess material, burrs, and sharp edges.</li> <li>Smooth surfaces and refine parts to meet specified tolerances and finish quality.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Inspection:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Examine parts visually with a magnifier or with measurement tools (gages) to identify burrs, imperfections, and inconsistencies.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Tool Maintenance:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Maintain and clean tools and equipment used in the deburring process.</li> <li>Report damaged or worn-out tools to supervisors for repair or replacement.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Safety Compliance:</strong></li> </ul> <ol> <ul> <li>Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools and machinery.</li> </ul> </ol> <ul> <li><strong> </strong> <strong>Collaboration:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Work closely with machinists, quality control teams, and supervisors to resolve issues related to part quality.</li> <li>Provide feedback on design or manufacturing improvements that could reduce burr formation.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Record-Keeping:</strong></li> </ul> <ol> <ul> <li>Document work completed and track parts processed.</li> <li>Communicate progress and any challenges encountered during the deburring process.</li> </ul> </ol> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in manufacturing, machining, or similar roles preferred.</li> <li>Proficiency with deburring tools and equipment.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.</li> <li>Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sitting for extended periods of time</li> <li>Perform repetitive motions, including gripping and filing.</li> <li>Lift and handle materials weighing up to 35 pounds.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p>
