Using a global perspective to teach about the interconnectedness of communities and their environments, the BCS program nurtures mutual respect, civic responsibility and a lifelong love of learning.</span> </p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: </strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education, plans, develops, and implements instructional programs for individuals who have been identified and assessed as needing language and speech services.</span></p> <p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Provide a language/speech program for students enrolled in Special Education</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Identify, assess, plans, implement, and evaluate speech and language programs</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Identify and assess students with communication disorders; provide referrals as necessary (e.g. medical, audiological, psychological, behavioral)</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Develop appropriate Individualized Education Plans (IEP)</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Implement and maintain current IEPs</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Interact, consult and collaborate with school staff, including providing staff training as necessary</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Participate in parent/school informational meetings when appropriate</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Maintain records as necessary </span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Continue professional growth</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Perform related duties as requested</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Health care coverage options, including medical, dental, and vision.</li> <li>School holidays and additional time off throughout the year.</li> <li>Continual opportunities for professional development .</li> <li>A fun, kind, hardworking team.</li> <li>Salary starting at $95,000, commensurate with years of experience. </li> </ul> <p><strong>WHO YOU ARE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>You are detail-oriented, hardworking, and can execute at a high level</li> <li>You can operate independently in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>You have knowledge of special education law, ed code, and federal and state laws pertaining to students with special needs.</li> <li>You have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field</li> <li>You posses a valid Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential authorizing services in Language, Speech & Hearing or a valid Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential</li> <li>You have verification of current California Speech-Language Pathology license</li> </ul> <p>Bullis Charter S
