In this role, you will be highly involved in various aspects of the payroll process and initiatives. We seek a hands-on, self-motivated individual with experience thriving in high-growth environments. Reporting directly to the Senior Accounting Manager, this role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within our organization.</p> <p><strong>Please note that this position is full-time and located onsite at our Redwood City office.</strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Process semi-monthly, multi-state US payroll, including medical benefits, FSA, ESPP, 401(k) contributions, and loans.</li> <li>Oversee and process international payroll, coordinating with local vendors or PEOs as needed.</li> <li>Manage daily stock activities such as exercise and vesting.</li> <li>Work closely with the HR team on employee matters including new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and other changes affecting payroll.</li> <li>Maintain payroll operations by ensuring compliance with established company procedures and federal, state, and local regulations.</li> <li>Prepare payroll journal entries, assist with GL account reconciliations and flux analyses for month-end close, along with other GL and compliance-related finance team requests as needed.</li> <li>Participate in quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SOX requests.</li> <li>Serve as a backup for payroll processing in the absence of other payroll team members.</li> <li>Act as the point of contact for payroll-related questions and inquiries.</li> <li>Assist with ad hoc requests, including 401(k) audits, workers' comp audits, insurance renewals, benefits requests, and payroll cash flow reporting.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li> <li>5+ years of experience processing multi-state U.S. payroll.</li> <li>Experience administering equity compensation (ESPP, stock option exercises, RSU vesting).</li> <li>Experience with international payroll processing or oversight.</li> <li>Experience working in a high-growth company, preferably in the software industry.</li> <li>Proficiency in daily tasks with adaptability to changing priorities.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Experience with NetSuite Payroll is a plus.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future company sponsorship.</strong></span></p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">C3 AI provides excellent benefits, a competitive compensation package and generous
