This position may be filled in the Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO office.</div> <div> </div> <div>ABOUT THE ROLE</div> <div>This position will have a design or technical focus and be a member of our multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with design and technical leadership and will be an integral part of project teams. <span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Your initial assignment will be on a 2.0+ million square foot healthcare facility at Mayo Clinic’s campus. </span>Under the direct supervision of designated project leadership, the primary responsibilities will include the following:</div> <div> </div> <div>HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO <ul> <li>With limited direction, Assist Senior Interior Designer and/or Project Manager with the execution of the project goals throughout all phases (Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration).</li> <li>Assist in the development of the design including planning and three-dimensional studies.</li> <li>Independently assist in the design development and documentation of interior spaces to include drawings of floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, pattern designs, elevations, details, etc. </li> <li>Provide support to the Senior Interior Designer with furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) selection, layout and specifications throughout all phases of interior design work, as required.</li> <li>Produce drawings in conformance with project time, cost and quality constraints.</li> <li>Identify, research and apply building and life safety codes to applicable interior design work.</li> <li>Prepare renderings and other presentation materials.</li> <li>Follow CannonDesign drawing standards.</li> <li>Participate in client meetings with Senior Interior Designer to gain client interaction and presentation experience.</li> <li>Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, review of submittals and shop drawings, and conducting punch list. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.</li> <li>Mentor less experienced interior design staff and provide guidance in the development of project documents.</li> <li>Actively participate and promote design quality.</li> <li>Understand proper application of materials.</li> <li>May perform other duties as required.</li> </ul> </div> <div> </div> <div>HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED</div> <ul> <li>Bachelor or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required. </li> <li> <div>Minimum of 4 years of related experience required.</div> </li> <li> <div>Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.</div> </li> <li>Must be able to participate the development of projects' technical or design characteristics and content.</li> <li> <div>Strong creative design portfolio is essential as are strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.</div> </li> <li> <div>Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.</div> </li> <li><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Professional business attire is required for all client meetings.
