The Field Engineer / Installation Manager leads that crew — owning jobsite planning, execution, quality, and safety. The role starts as a hybrid of field engineering and construction management and grows into a full construction-management seat as the program scales. Extensive travel to jobsites is required.</p> <p class="p1"><strong>Why Work for CaptiveAire?</strong> </p> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li1">Nation’s leading manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation systems, and now offering a complete solution of fans, heaters, ductwork and HVAC equipment. </li> <li class="li1">Leader in the industry for over 40 years with innovative technologies, unmatched service, competitive pricing, and rapid lead times. </li> <li class="li1">Mission: to provide the highest quality products and service to our users at the lowest possible price </li> <li class="li1">Strong commitment to the development of our employees, including continuous education opportunities like sponsorship for Professional Engineering license and continuous education through weekly webinars and company developed technical videos </li> <li>Learn more about CaptiveAire and our products <a href="https://www.captiveaire.com/video-library/"><span class="s1">here</span></a> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Primary Job Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and develop a starting crew of two to three installers across Paragon HVAC installs / replacements, supply/return/exhaust duct, low-voltage controls scopes, and some third-party equipment.</li> <li>Plan every install before mobilizing — pre-mobilization site visits, full drawing-set review, and trade coordination through the GC so no other trade compromises our scope.</li> <li>Own on-site decision-making, schedule, and quality: daily check-ins, punch list resolution, and the autonomy (and accountability) to make the call in the field.</li> <li>Enforce CaptiveAire’s install standards — SOP per install type, structural-engineer review on changeouts, spreader-bar lifts, minimal deck cutouts, CAS-supplied gasket, and clean, safe, organized jobsites.</li> <li>Run startup, commissioning and reporting on completed installs, especially while the crew is establishing.</li> <li>Provide field-engineering and technical support for customers during install downtime, based in Tampa FL.</li> <li>Coordinate with the Key Accounts Manager, project teams, and customers to keep installs on time, on budget, and on brand.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>CaptiveAire product and quality knowledge preferred</li> <li>4-year technical degree in a mechanical, electrical, or construction curriculum preferred </li> <li>2-5yr experience preferred</li> <li>Field-engineering, construction-management, or superintendent experience on commercial HVAC / mechanical projects preferred</li> <li>Strong, independent problem-solving and the judgment to run a jobsite.</li> <li>Willingness and ability to travel on demand.
