Mainframe Senior Batch Monitoring and Support

Technical Requirements: Mainframe Batch Monitoring Control-M / CA7 / ESP Scheduler IBM z/OS JCL (Job Control Language) SDSF, JES2/JES3 TSO/ISPF Incident & Problem Management ServiceNow Batch Scheduling and Production Support Responsibilities: Monitor and manage daily batch processing activities in Mainframe production environments. Analyze and resolve batch job failures, abends, and scheduling issues within agreed SLA timelines. Perform job restarts, reruns, and recovery activities using Control-M, CA7, ESP, or equivalent schedulers. Review JCL, SYSOUT, and spool outputs to identify root causes and implement fixes. Coordinate with application, database, infrastructure, and business teams during critical production incidents. Ensure successful execution of end-of-day, end-of-month, and critical business batch cycles. Raise, track, and resolve incidents and change requests through ServiceNow. Conduct trend analysis on recurring failures and recommend automation or process improvements. Prepare operational reports, batch status updates, and incident summaries for stakeholders. Support disaster recovery testing, environment validations, and release deployments. Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
