Autonomous Robotics Engineer
Job Description
The Autonomous Robotics Engineer is responsible for developing, testing, integrating, and deploying autonomous robotic solutions for industrial inspection, construction site monitoring, inventory management, confined space inspection, safety compliance, and intelligent automation use cases. The role involves working with autonomous navigation technologies, robotics middleware, sensor integration, perception systems, mission planning, and robot control software. The engineer collaborates closely with robotics architects, AI engineers, computer vision specialists, and business stakeholders to develop reliable, scalable, and safe autonomous robot solutions. The position provides opportunities to work on cutting-edge robotics technologies, including robotic dogs, AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), edge computing, sensor fusion, and autonomous navigation systems. Technical Requirements: • Contribute to development and deployment of autonomous robotics solutions across multiple modules. • Support delivery of robotic inspection, monitoring, and automation use cases. • Participate in simulation, testing, and validation activities. • Support system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency improvements. Responsibilities: • Develop autonomous robotic applications using ROS/ROS2 frameworks. • Integrate robotic platforms with LiDAR, cameras, IMU, GPS, and other industrial sensors. • Support development of localization, mapping, navigation, and path-planning capabilities. • Implement obstacle detection and avoidance algorithms for autonomous operations. • Configure and develop robot mission planning and task execution workflows. • Collaborate with AI and Computer Vision teams to integrate perception intelligence into robotic platforms. • Perform integration and validation of autonomous navigation systems in simulation and real-world environments. • Support development of robot fleet management and monitoring capabilities. • Develop interfaces for communication between robots, edge devices, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications. • Execute testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization activities. • Develop technical documentation, deployment guides, and test reports. • Participate in field trials, user acceptance testing, and production deployments. • Contribute to development of reusable robotics components, libraries, and frameworks. • Support continuous improvement initiatives, innovation programs, and proof-of-concepts. • Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and engineering quality standards.
