Job Description
Seeking a skilled professional with experience in PCBA Costing involving Product Teardown, Should Costing, VAVE, benchmarking and cost optimization initiatives across product lifecycle stages for electromechanical products across various industry segments. This role requires deep expertise in electronics hardware design, manufacturing processes, and supply chain cost drivers to deliver accurate, competitive, and scalable cost models Responsibilities: Experience in Product Teardown & Should-cost analysis for electromechanical products. • Experience in developing detailed PCBA cost models covering: o PCB fabrication (layer stack-up, materials, finishes, panelization) o Component costing (passives, actives, ICs, connectors, custom parts o Assembly processes (SMT, THT, mixed-tech, testing, rework) o Cost estimation knowledge during concept, design, prototype, pilot, and mass-production phases. o Analyze cost drivers such as component selection, yield, takt time, panel utilization, and logistics. o Track cost evolution across revisions, ECNs, and lifecycle changes. • Guide design-to-cost and value engineering initiatives • Analyze schematics, BOMs, Gerbers, and assembly drawings from a cost perspective. • Monitor market trends, technology shifts, and cost fluctuations in electronics manufacturing. • Maintain a repository of costing methodologies, assumptions, and historical cost-saving case studies. • Prepare and present cost analysis reports, value engineering proposals, and cost breakdowns to the stakeholders.
